Orators & oratrixes: Edmond Wescot, Jno, Major, Geo, Hezekiah & Polly Wescot, Wm Underhill & Polly his wife & Jemima Mears
That a certain Joshua Wescot late of this county being in his lifetime & at the time of his death seized in fee of a tract of land near Franktown adjoining the land of Wm Wescot & others containing 180 acres. Joshua Wescot departed this life in the year 1797 leaving your oratrix Polly Wescot his widow & nine children, Edm'd, Jno, Major, Geo, Hez'h, Rosey who intermarried with John Wescot dec'd, Diannah who intermarried with Sam'l Matthews, Polly the wife of Wm Underhill & Jemima Mears the widow of Shadrack Mears to all of whom the said land descended equally to be divided, subject to the dower of Polly the widow. That Jno by deed of record sold his own one ninth to your orator Hez'h Wescot. That Edm'd, Major, Wm Underhill & Polly his wife by deed sold their respective one ninth to your orator Geo Wescot. That Dinna who intermarried with Sam C. Matthews departed this life in the year 1817 of full age, intestate & without issue, leaving as her next of kin, her mother & the aforesaid brothers and sisters, to all of whom her undivided one ninth descended. That Rosey, one of the aforesaid children departed this life in the year 1818, intestate, leaving two children, Ann & Rosey Wescot, infants, to whom her interest descended equally. Your orators and oratrixes desire that division of the said land should be made.
