Rebecca Cox's maiden name comes for the land patent MAIDENHEAD that was assigned by William Stevens, Gentleman, to Daniel Clark, planter, since dec'd, by whose LW&T this land descended to his wife Mary Clark, also since dec'd, whereupon it became rights of Clark's sister Rebecca Cox. The tract was surveyed for 300a on Oct 24 1676, patented Mar 29 1683. and is now in modern Wicomico. Rebecca married Thomas Cox Sr. (Thomas Cox Sr. was born in 1647 in England and died before 17 Jan 1725 in Somerset Co., MD.) |
