Rosalie Lowe Hitch, 84, of Huntington Beach, CA, passed away on July 14th' 2010. Funeral services will be a private family event.
Rosalie grew up in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from East High School and the University of Colorado.
Following their marriage in 1947, she and her beloved husband of 62 years. Henry Hitch, a past president of First Interstate Bank of Casper, resided in Casper for many years where they raised their family. They spent most of their retirement years in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
Rosalie was a popular athlete. In 1946, she was the only woman on the Colorado University ski team. She also won Best Woman Rider two years in a row at the Denver Livestock Show. She was the Casper Country Club golf champion four times, the city champion twice, missing that state championship by one stroke. During her later years, Rosalie was physically handicapped and largely bedridden. She was beloved by her friends for her beauty, her optimism and cheerfulness.
Rosalie joins her son. Woody, who died from Leukemia at age two. She is survived by her husband, Henry and sons, Jim and Todd. Rosalie was the cherished grandmother of six, Vonde, Justin, Lalan, Cassandra, Lloyd and Adam, and great-grandmother of five.
Letters of condolence may be sent to Mr. Henry Hitch and Mr. Todd Hitch, 20372 Brentstone Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92646. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Woody and Rosalie.

Rosalie married Henry Atwood Hitch Jr., son of Henry Atwood Hitch Sr. and Rosalee Harrell, on 16 Aug 1947. (Henry Atwood Hitch Jr. was born on 10 Feb 1923 in Salisbury, Wicomico Co., MD ² and died on 08 Dec 2010 in Huntington Beach, Orange Co., CA.)
