Lena Belle Shockley

Lena Shockley Pusey, 86, of Eden died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at her home. Born in Eden, she was a daughter of the late John Merrill Shockley and Sarah Fooks Shockley. Mrs. Pusey was a farmer. She was also a school bus driver for 43 years. She was a volunteer grandparent at Holly Center and a lifelong member of Olivet Christian Church. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hammond Edgar Pusey of Eden; five children, Jean Pusey Jones of Catonsville; Boyd Pusey of Catonsville; Ralph Hammond Pusey of Eden; Gerald Lee Pusey of Hebron; Faye Pusey Cropper of Berlin; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Barbara Anne Pusey died in 1943. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. The Rev. Steve Paradis will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Olivet Christian Cemetery near Whitesburg.
