Robert E. Hitch
"Robert E. Hitch died of an accidental gunshot wound while squirrel hunting. He was crossing the Licking River near Catawba in a john boat. While removing his gun from the boat, the hammer got caught on the side of the boat, causing the gun to discharge a round, killing him. At the time, he was Superintendent of the car building with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Earlier, he had been a blacksmith in Falmouth, Kentucky."
