From "A Hitch Orchard", Daisy Hitch Davies, 1931: "Ebenezer Delano Hitch was a sailmaker. He was one of the many Forty-Niners who sailed from Fairhaven, MA. to California. He never returned to Massachusetts and died many years ago. His wife was a very lovely woman." Ebenezer married Lydia Wood Allen, daughter of Sylvanus Allen and Unknown. (Lydia Wood Allen was born in 1822 in MA 7 8 and died after 1870 in MA.) |
