Dr. William Edward McGinety, 79, a retired dentist and Mt. Olivet native, died Saturday, September 26, 1992, at the Maysville Extended Care Facility. He was a member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. He was a musician in college and locally. He was born October 25, 1912, in Robertson County, the son of the late Edward and Carrie Buckler McGinety.
He is survived by: two daughters, Cara Wynne McGinety Graves and Joanie Dawn McGinety Graves, both of Robertson County; one son, Glenn Montgomery, of Robertson County; and five grandchildren, Jacqueline Graves, Melissa Graves, Michael Graves, William Edward Graves and Heather Montgomery. He is preceded in death by: his wife, Lois Dean McGinety; a brother, Robert McGinety; and a sister, Mae Buckler Linville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Robertson County Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Crowe officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
