This family moved to Maryland sometime between 1900 and 1903. Hand sawed off in sawmill and they were going to burn it but he said he could "feel" it. They finally buried it. He made an artificial hand out of and leather to strap on and could eat with it.
Samuel married Emma Broughton on 03 Jan 1877 in Lake Co., OH.1 (Emma Broughton was born in 1856 in OH 10 and died on 08 May 1883 in Lake Co., OH.)
Samuel next married Ida Josephine Lapham, daughter of Edward Lapham Jr. and Anna Megley, on 18 Sep 1895 in Lake Co., OH.2 (Ida Josephine Lapham was born on 29 Oct 1868 in OH,11 12 13 14 15 died on 21 May 1920 in Somerset Co., MD and was buried about 24 May 1920 in Friendship Church Cemetery, Meadowbridge Road & West Post Office, Worcester Co., MD.)
