Lew and Danna Hitch, Westmoreland, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by attending the Kansas State vs. California football game Aug. 23 2003 at Arrowhead Stadium with their family and by spending the weekend in Kansas City. Danna Foltz and Lew Hitch were married Aug. 29, 1953, in Manhattan. Their children and spouses are Dan and Mona Hitch, Springfield, Tenn.; Ken and Christie Hitch, Wamego; and Ed and Paula Hitch, Elizabethtown, Ky. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Hitch retired in 1989 as an educator and school administrator after 32 years of service. Mrs. Hitch is a wife, mother and homemaker.

Danna married Lewis Rufus (Lew) Hitch, son of Rufus Cyrus Hitch and Maurine Jennings, on 29 Aug 1953 in Manhattan, KS.¹ (Lewis Rufus (Lew) Hitch was born on 16 Jul 1929 in Griggsville, Pike Co., IL,¹ died on 08 Feb 2012 in Wamego, KS and was buried about 11 Feb 2012 in Belle Plaine Cemetery, Sumner Co., KS.)
