Death Notes: Died of congestive heart failure due to coronary occlusion. (MD Death Certificate). He died in the house he built near Fruitland, MD that later was owned by his son George Carroll Hitch and then his grandson Carroll Hamilton Hitch.

His wife is listed as Floorence Mabel Wiltbank and they were living at 2207 Carter Street in Wilmington. His employer is listed as E.I. Dupont de NeMours in the Engineering Department at 10th and Orange Streets in Wilmington. He is white, 5'-7" and weighing 150 pounds with light complexion, blue eyes and brown hair. Notable features are "left eye out" and "left temple scar. It also states that he has no middle name.
