John made a will on 20 November 1799 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as John Riley Parker. To wife Elizabath whole estate during her natural life, should my said wife die before my son William Parker arrives to the age of 21 years, whole estate except the land to be sold on a credit upon interest until my said son arrives to the age of 21, & the lands to be rented out. To 2 daughters Elizabeth & Leah Parker. I give the plantation where I now live together with the Island marsh to my son Henry Parker. I give my land bought of Bennet & George Scarburgh containing 90 acres to my son Charles Parker, also 25 acres purchased of Stephen Pusey. To Nancy Riley, daughter of Thomas. Daughter Euphamy Rodgers & daughters Elizabeth & Leah Parker & my son William Parker residual legatees. I leave my son William in the hands of my wife Elizabeth & Thomas Fletcher & Henry Parker. William Finney, Edmond Bayly, John Bayly & George Scarburgh to appraise & divide estate. Wife Elizabeth, Thomas Fletcher, William Finney & Henry Parker Exrs. Witt: William Finney, George Dewey, Henry Custis.

His estate was settled on 30 August 1813 at Accomack Co, VA. 16 Jun 1800 (Invy), 30 Aug 1813 (Rec'd) - Negroes James, Daniel, Rose & child, Southey, boy Ruben, Juda & child, Leah, girl Mary, boy Caleb, boy Isaac, girl Keziah, girl Darkey & girl Hannah. Henry Parker was also named. Appraisers: William Finney, Edmund Bayly, George Scarburgh & John Bayly. Also, another portion of his estate was settled on 14 November 1825 at Accomack Co, VA. 3 Oct 1825 (Receipt), 14 Nov 1825 (Rec'd) - William T. Savage acknowledged receipt of $621.25 from Thomas Young in full for claims against him as the late guardian to my wife Elizabeth & in full for the estate of John R. Parker & Elizabeth Parker the grandfather & grandmother of my said wife.


John married Elizabeth Fletcher, daughter of Henry Fletcher Sr. and Leah Corbin, on 13 May 1766 in Accomack Co., VA. (Elizabeth Fletcher was born about 1746 in Accomack Co., VA and died in 1812 in Accomack Co., VA.)
