Not much is known of this Joseph Dalby but the "Miles Files" say he married Amy Stott, d/o Jonathan and Ann (Upshur) Stott. A younger Joseph Dalby (d 1775/78) mentions brother Benjamin and Upshur Dalby in his will. There is no placement for parentage for those 3 brothers; however, this Joseph Dalby born c1674 seems a good probability as their father. In an odd twist here Ann Upshur (born c1660) was Joseph Dalby's mother-in-law Ann Stott and then when her husband Jonathan Stott died, she married Joseph's brother Benjamin Dalby. So, nee Ann Upshur was his mother-in-law Ann Stott that then became his sister-in-law, Ann Dalby!
