OBITUARY: Mrs. Lucy Emma Smith - Mrs. Lucy Emma Smith, 61, died unexpectedly Wednesday night at her home in Fruitland following a heart attack. Daughter of the late Elijah and Emma Townsend, of Shad Point, she is survived by her husband, Louis A. Smith, Fruitland; two daughters, Mrs. Conrad Livingston, Salisbury, and Mrs. Arthur Widdowson, Fruitland; and two sons, Sewell Smith, Fruitland, and Louis E. Smith, S 2-c, USNR, on duty in the Pacific area. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Lee Harris, Quantico, and four brothers, William, Lit, Routen and Gurney Townsend, all of Siloam. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Methodist Church, Fruitland, Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Walter A. Donoway officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Hill and Johnson funeral home Saturday between 7:30 and 9 p.m. and at the church Sunday afternoon between 1 and 2 o'clock.
