Descendants of Christopher Hitch (1710-1778) of Virginia and Tennesee

First Generation  Next

1. Christopher* Hitch, son of (Brother Of Adam)? Hitch, was born in 17101 and died in 1778 in Fauquier Co., VA2,3,4 at age 68.

General Notes: THIS LINE IS UNCERTAIN. The general consensus is that the Christopher Hitch of VA line extends from the Adam Hitch of MD line in some manner. This may or may not be true given the scant evidence with which to deal. This lineage provides a way in which to connect the two through a brother of Adam Hitch. Given the naming conventions seen in both the Adam and Christopher Hitch lines, the most likely name for Christopher's father, were he indeed a brother of Adam, would be John Hitch.

He was listed as a taxable in the Upper Piscataway Hundred of Prince Georges Co., MD in 1733.
